The Garden Cinema

Screen Cuba is delighted to be located at the remarkable independent Garden Cinema in central London.  The venue celebrated its first year in March 2023 and is dedicated ‘to selecting films that are worth showing, films you would be happy to see more than once’ in the words of Michael Chambers, the Cinema’s managing director. In its short existence, the Cinema has received rave reviews for the dozen or so older films and new releases it screens each week, with an emphasis on films from around the world. Advertising at the Garden Cinema is replaced with trailers for upcoming films.  Screen Cuba, with its goal to raise funds to restore and digitalise Cuba’s classic films, is a perfect fit with the genuinely non-commercial vibe in this beautifully designed art deco space.

We invite you to the Garden Cinema to participate in the Festival. You will be treated not only to a brilliant selection of films, but you will also enjoy the very plush bar with lots of comfortable seating areas and room for events. The Garden Cinema is definitely the destination to visit, a venue to celebrate ‘the art of film’, again in Michael Chamber’s words.
